Visit Lincoln does an incredible job bringing visitors, investment and business into Lincoln City and the surrounding area. Their website and marketing campaigns have supported the growth of the visitor economy by 30% meaning that visitors to the city are spending over £216million a year and £2.4billion across the county.
As a partnership organisation, they work with around 240 private businesses and collaboration is at the heart of being a Visit Lincoln Partner. They're a not-for-profit organisation, so every penny they get goes back into attracting visitors and investment to Lincoln.
Back in 2015, Visit Lincoln approached Visual Print and Design to create and produce a booklet for the visitors of Lincoln – the final result was an elaborately designed DL with 50pp with a fold-out map at the back. The print run consisted of 50,000 copies on lovely coated paper to highlight Lincoln's iconic images in a soft sheen.
The final product was so good that Visit Lincoln asked us to create the 2015 booklet as well...but this time bumping the size up to A5 and keeping the print run the same with 50,000 copies. This challenged us in a different light. Not only did we design the layout of the guide, but we also helped create adverts for local businesses inside the booklet.
