Visual Print and Design – 2023 Wrapped
‘A year in review by our Managing Director, Graham Hunstone’
Is it nearly 2024 already? – everyone can agree that this year has gone by far too quickly however, it has certainly been an eventful year for us all at Visual Print and Design.
Our year began quickly and our aim this financial year was to increase our sales by offering more and more exciting new products and items for our customers. The biggest push this year for us was with the branded merchandise area of the business continuing to encourage our customers to use eco-friendly products and materials wherever possible.
Of course, like many businesses and those in the print industry, we were hit by rising running costs and supply chain issues and we have had to adapt to this in what is an ever-competitive industry.
2023 has been a year of growth, achievements and milestones at Visual Print and Design. We have had many highs and many lows but the achievements we have had this year are a credit to our amazing team. Without them, I know we would not be ending this year in such a strong position.
Here are just a few of our achievements over the last 12 months:
- We became an approved print and design supplier for four new local authorities from across the UK.
- We supported The Lincolnite by sponsoring their awards throughout the year for the second year running and had some amazing evenings.
- We took part in numerous charity events and helped several charities such as British Heart Foundation, Printing Charity, Linkage and Jerry Green Dog Rescue.
- We planted trees to offset 9.5 tonnes of CO2.
- We supported our wonderful customers with over 2700 print and design projects.
- We continued making silly videos on TikTok with my favourite one being Rachael Beach hugging a large bag of Yorkshire Tea Bags.
- We celebrated many birthdays and work-iversaries.
- We introduced over 100 promotional, print and exhibition products to our website including eco-friendly alternatives.
- Our Customer Service Assistant, Saffron, was a finalist at the Midlands Young Professionals Awards for Apprentice of the Year.
- We saw new customer acquisition increase by 18%.
- We won a highly commended award for ‘Print Management of the Year’ at the IPIA awards.
- We welcomed Courtney Rose to the team as our new Creative Marketing Manager
- We won a three-year contract to supply the prospectus packs to Bishop Grosseteste University.
- We partnered with Lincolnshire Police to create an immersive, educational experience to prevent knife crime and violent behaviour in young people.
It is hard to pin down what highlights to share as there have been so many and I know this wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing, loyal customers and having such a great team behind me so thank you all for everything.
I’m excited to see what 2024 has in store for us and we have numerous plans for growth so watch this space!
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year.
