Helping Lincoln student become career ready
Our Managing Director Graham was asked to be part of a “Career Ready” program at The Priory City School this year helping mentor students to guide them to be “Career Ready” for when they leave school. Graham has been mentoring Jeremy since January 2016 and due to this success we have recruited Jeremy as an Intern throughout the summer holidays to help further his knowledge and gain valuable experience from the Visual Print and Design team.
He will spend his time at Visual Print and Design shadowing members of the team to see how the business operates day to day. Jeremy will also get the opportunity to get hands on with the production team and learn how different print is processed and finished.
Career Ready is aimed to help students aged 16-19 to develop employment skills and experiences. They benefit from a mentor and an internship which enables them to unlock their potential and raise aspirations. Overall, students get the chance to gain exciting and life changing opportunities whilst working in a real life work environment.
When asked about the program Jeremy said “It’s great to learn new skills at Visual Print and Design and meet new people. The print industry is very interesting and spending time at Visual Print and Design will let me learn a lot more about it. Being here teaches me some valuable skills that school cannot”.
We will keep you up to date with Jeremy’s progress throughout his exciting time with us.
