Carbon Capture Programme
As part of our continuous commitment to becoming more sustainable and reducing our carbon footprint, we are extremely proud to be part of the Carbon Capture Programme.
Working with our trusted paper stock supplier, we are able to capture the CO2 emissions from our paper purchases for projects by planting native woodland, right here in the UK, through the Woodland Trust and the Woodland Carbon scheme.
Annually, we receive a certificate which shows the tonnes of CO2 captured and square metres (m2) of new native woodland we have helped to plant.
What is Woodland Carbon?
Woodland Carbon is a scheme created by the Woodland Trust to plant more trees in the UK. This scheme helps businesses and individuals remove the harmful gas, carbon dioxide, that is created by many day-to-day and business activities
Not only does it demonstrate our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and those of clients, creating new woodland and planting trees to capture carbon dioxide provides us with a huge range of other benefits such as improving air quality, reducing stress and improving our mental wellbeing, making our local communities greener and even providing natural long-term solutions to flooding.
What is the Woodland Trust?
The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity that believes life is better with trees by improving the quality of the air that we breathe, providing the natural habitat for an array of UK wildlife (including 250 endangered species) and forming nature’s magical playground for children and adults alike. The charity looks after 1200 woods which are open year-round for the public to enjoy free of charge. As well as creating new woodland, they remain passionate about protecting the old.
You can read more about the scheme on the Woodland Trust website.
