Visual Print & Design commits to the Lincoln Social Responsibility Charter
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve recently signed up to the Lincoln Social Responsibility Charter. The aim of this charter is to encourage organisations in Lincoln to undertake socially responsible activities which benefit employees and the local community.
By committing to the Lincoln Social Responsibility Charter, we have agreed to the following principles:
- We are committed to treating our staff fairly to ensure we have a reliable, skilled and motivated workforce.
- We support local communities to enable local charities and community groups to deliver their services and help make Lincoln a better place to live and work.
At Visual Print & Design, we take our corporate social responsibility seriously by operating sustainably when we can, valuing our employees and supporting the local community. We do this by:
- Sourcing paper from responsible sources to minimise our carbon footprint and reduce our environmental impact
- Actively promoting sustainable and eco-friendly products to our clients
- Being part of ‘Making Lincoln Living Wage’ scheme so we are a living wage employer, we use living wage suppliers and we don’t offer zero-hour contracts
- Minimising our waste by encouraging our employees to recycle and use re-usable products
- Supporting the excellent work of local and national charities through reduced printing rates, sponsorship and volunteering
- Investing in training for our employees to help with their personal development
- Offering flexible working to our employees so that they can attend medical appointments
This is just a small insight into how we’re undertaking socially responsible activities that not only benefit our employees and the community but also benefits the local economy. This is an ongoing process for us, and we’re committed to doing everything we can to improve our corporate social responsibility.
